The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Huron from Presque Isle Lt. to Sturgeon Point  MI 5NM off
  shore to US/Canadian border...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 329 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 12 nm northeast of South Point, moving east
  at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts possible, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and
           small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
